Automotive Authorities was established by Cory Olson in 2013. With 20 years of auto repair experience and 14 years at GM dealership, he was ready to open his own shop. He knew he could do it as good—or better—than anyone else. As a shop owner, he focuses on transparency, which means that as a customer, you’ll never wonder about the work being done on your vehicle or feel unsure about the service you’re receiving.

Meet Cory, Our Founder & Master Tech Cory founded Automotive Authorities in 2013 with a simple mission: to bring transparency and elite technical skill to the Longmont community. An ASE Master Technician with a focus on light diesel and complex diagnostics, Cory is the guy you want under the hood when no one else can find the fix. He combines his GM and Nissan factory training with a genuine passion for helping people. To Cory, success isn't just about fixing a car; it’s about the peace of mind that comes from leaving his customers in a better place than when they arrived.

I've been a proud member of the Automotive Authorities team for 9 years, where I specialize in Diesels and Diagnostics. In 2024, I achieved my ASE Master Technician certification, a milestone that reflects my commitment to the highest standards of automotive repair. Originally from Cody, Wyoming—right at the East Gate of Yellowstone—I bring that rugged, mountain-town work ethic to every vehicle that enters my bay.
Outside the shop, I’m a world traveler. I’ve visited 12 different countries and even spent two months living in Costa Rica working on a remote organic farm through the WWOOF program. When I’m back home in the States, my favorite way to unwind is jumping on my motorcycle and hitting the road whenever the weather allows!

I have been an ASE Master Technician with eight certifications since 1996, marking nearly three decades of elite-level automotive service. On top of my Master ASE status, I also have been a Nissan Master Technician since 2007, bringing a specialized, factory-trained depth of knowledge to our team that is truly rare in the industry.
When I hang up my wrench for the day, I swap horsepower for the real thing. I spend my free time managing my Hobby Farm, enjoying the pace of life that comes with working the land and caring for his animals.

Service Advisor
I've been in the industry for 28 years. 26 of those years as a Technician, these last two years as a service writer. As a Technician I liked being able to solve and fix issues on customers' vehicles and to get them back on the road safely. I always said that I could never see myself being behind a desk, but now that I am. I am enjoying it very much.
When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, working on my RC trucks and doing archery.

I’ve been in the automotive industry for 12 years, but my education started much earlier. I grew up at my father’s side, learning the ropes on our family vehicles before eventually building my own first two cars: a 1969 Nova and a 1974 CJ5. I began my professional career as a Service Writer in Wisconsin at age 18. After a brief hiatus, I returned to my passion when I moved to Colorado six years ago. Since then, I’ve served as a Service Manager for both major national chains and local shops right here in Longmont.
When I’m not at the shop, my wife and I are usually off the grid. We love camping and hiking with our dogs in the Colorado wilderness. You might be surprised to learn that I’m also a scuba diver—I especially love exploring the clear, chilly waters of our high-altitude mountain lakes!

I have been a professional in the automotive industry for 12 years. As an ASE Certified Technician, I bring over a decade of hands-on expertise to our team. Whether it’s a modern daily driver or a vintage project, I have the technical background and the "old-school" grit to get the job done right.
When I am not under a hood, I am usually by the water. I am an avid fisherman who loves spending my downtime on our local lakes. But my talents don’t stop at the shoreline—I am also quite the chef and I love cooking up delicious meals for his friends and family.
